Buyer comparison snapshot
Make reishi mushroom RFQs specific enough for QA review
Reishi extract offers should be compared by species identity, fruiting body or mycelium language,
extract ratio, marker language, carrier, and document path. Procurement teams should also ask whether
the supplier understands the intended product format. A supplement capsule, powder blend, beverage
concept, and multi-mushroom formula may need different sample and specification discussions.
Reishi supplier comparison checklist
| Identity |
Confirm Ganoderma species language and fruiting body, mycelium, or blend positioning. |
| Specification |
Ask for beta-glucan, polysaccharide, ratio, carrier, method, and representative COA/TDS. |
| RFQ context |
Send application, sample need, estimated first order, packing needs, and destination. |
A strong first RFQ should include the desired species or positioning language, marker expectation,
dosage format, sample quantity, destination, first-order estimate, and document stage. For reishi,
buyers should also state whether the material is being reviewed as a standalone ingredient or as part
of a mushroom blend.
If the buyer is comparing multiple mushroom ingredients, each supplier should answer the same identity,
marker, sample, MOQ, and document questions. That makes reishi easier to compare with Lion's Mane,
Turkey Tail, Chaga, Shiitake, or a blend concept without losing the technical differences between
grades.
